February 24, 2006 I decided... to only do housework when told by my parents, direct from their mouth. No other medium. No messengers, no handwritten messages. Else I end up doing other peoples share. Plus I won't bother to take the initiative to do anything for a week. We'll see how neat the house can stay WITHOUT ME.
I'm fine if my dad doesn't talk to me. At least I won't get scolded too! For the mess not cleared/which just happened to form just after I clear them.
I've been doing housework so my parents wouldn't have to come home after a long's day of work and still do housework. Thanks for taking me for granted. I've practically been promoted to the position of a maid without pay since Day 1 of mum's work, or actually, way before that.
I can't wait to see the house full of dust that I can practice drawing in, the sink full with dishes and cups (and flies) waiting to be washed, the floor full of hair, the toilet with no toilet rolls, the room which looks close to the ones in "How clean is your house?" before they're being cleaned, tables full of leftover food and grime, house filled with pest and many many more. I can't wait.
Until I see her doing housework without being told to, then I'd start again. Because I've never seen her do any this year and last year. I asked my mum and she agreed too, and no, I did not point a knife at her.
I told you I'd always get things my way. Now you crossed the line and you have to pay. It rhymes! Hoho.
